Heart of the Cards is a web service run by an individual developer. This page explains what information the service keeps about you and why.
What we collect
- Your Google account email and name, when you sign in with Google. We use them to identify your account.
- What you create in the app: deck lists, practice games, game reviews (including any battle log or notes you paste), puzzles, your friends list and the decks you share.
- Basic usage: which features you use and when, such as clicks on "Upgrade". We use this to improve the service.
We do not collect your address, phone number or payment card details. If paid plans are introduced, payments will be handled by a payment provider and card details will never reach us.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no advertising trackers.
- We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
AI features
Game reviews, game plans and some summaries are generated with OpenAI's API. To do that, the text of your game log or notes, your deck list, card text and matchup statistics are sent to OpenAI. Your email address is not sent. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent this way is not used to train their models.
Who can see your data
Only you, by default. Friends can see a deck only when you share it with them. Anyone with a share link you create can see that one item. We don't look at individual accounts except to fix a problem you report.
Services we rely on
- Google for sign-in and hosting.
- OpenAI for the AI features described above.
- Limitless TCG and TCGdex for public tournament results and card data. These flow into the app; nothing about you is sent to them.
Your choices
You can see and export everything you've created from inside the app. To delete your account and everything stored about you, use Delete my account in the account menu: it happens straight away. Backups are cleared within 90 days after that. You can also email us at .
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let signed-in users know.
